Hello! These are fantastic photos and a great article!
I run a social media for a shop in eagle river. Would it be ok for me to share these photos to our social media with credit to you all snd your article and/or do I need permission from someone else?
Either way, glad I came across this. It was a great read!
Cherith - Glad you enjoyed this edition of the Anchorage Memories Club. Yes, please provide a link to the article and credit Anchorage Memories.com thank you, Mike
I don't remember the Fur Rendezvous being called Rondy or Fur Rondy. I only remember hearing about the Fur Rendezvous. Is "Rondy" a new thing? I lived in Anchorage from 1962 to 1974.
Mona - Yes, somewhere along the way, as with many things in American life, someone decided that Fur Rendezvous could be shortened to the less formal, “Rondy”. Personally, I prefer “Fur Rendezvous.”
Marci - Always nice to hear from “Legs Leino”. Glad you enjoyed this edition of the Anchorage Memories Club. By the way, we're still waiting for your article.
Tony - We appreciate your comment. Collecting the best memories and photos of the Anchorage Memories we all love, is indeed a labor of love. Thank you, Mike and Mary.
